AOV 90° Smoke Ventilation Hatches

AOV Smoke Ventilators are designed to open in a variety of formats from standard 90° and 140° through to the full 180°. Our vertical lift and 180° (sliding) hatches are recommended where high winds prevail.

Operated by a 24v DC actuator, the lid is filled with 50mm of CFC and HCFC free insulation with a minimum U-Value of 0.45W/m²K to BS3958: Part 5: 1986. Our smoke ventilators offer a high level of thermal insulation against heat loss and condensation, together with excellent sound absorption properties.

The lids are supported by heavy duty stainless steel axel pins and feature an integral 'wrap over' edge incorporating double unbroken EPDM seals.

The upstand has a purpose made flashing to accept the roof felt (supplied by others and fitted under manufacturers instructions) flush to exterior insulation.

AOV Smoke Vents are designed to be wired direct into the BMS (Building Management System) or FAS (Fire Alarm System) by others for complete monitoring.

Help to prevent smoke inhalation; it's imperative that when a fire related incident occurs that the smoke is ventilated quickly and efficiently. In the past a need to open to 140° has all that has been on offer - we have now extended this to 180°.

Service and Maintenance

It is recommended that an AOV system is regularly serviced and maintained by specialised personnel.

Access and Escape offer a Service Contact and Maintenance Agreement which provides tailored maintenance schedules to give peace of mind to the buildings owners and occupiers with all preventative maintenance completed to BS 5588.
